An LLC Converter with Capacitive Insulation

Offline power converter products must apply for and pass the national electrical safety code before they can be marketed. The transformers of offline converters made from certificated materials with a high voltage rating insulation, which increases volume printed circuit boards. In most studies, miniaturization is usually achieved by increasing conversion efficiency reducing heat sink, or switching frequency to reduce size transformers. this paper, insulation material reduced miniaturize transformer LLC converter. resonant capacitor used meet requirements voltage, leakage current, creepage, clearance. A prototype specifications 12 V 10 rated output was built verify proposed method.
